Sara Hendershot played soccer, swimming, and rowing with two state championships (soccer and rowing) and a school record (swimming) while at SHS. She was then recruited to attend Princeton University where she became a student athlete and a member of the Varsity Rowing team. While at Princeton, Sara was the captain of her team, earned All-Conference honors in 2008, 2009, and 2010, and NCAA First Team All-America honors in 2009 and 2010. Upon graduation, Sara declined a job offer from Wall Street to follow her dream of becoming an Olympian. She earned her way onto the United States Women’s National team and became a two-time World Champion in 2010 and 2011, and ultimately qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. She and her pair partner came in 4th place, just 0.2 seconds behind Bronze.
