Lisa Griswold Lindley graduated from Simsbury High School in 1982. During her high school career, Lisa excelled at field hockey and basketball for all four years. She led her field hockey team to a state championship while being named All League and All State multiple times. Lisa was also a multiple All League and All State player for the basketball team. She scored over 1,000 points as a junior and still holds the school record for total points scored at 1590. After graduating from Simsbury High School, Lisa played both lacrosse and field hockey, first at Northwestern University and later at the University of Massachusetts. She earned multiple accolades in both sports during her career. Lisa was nominated for the Honda Broderick award for the best athlete in sport and played in the North/South all star game her senior year. Lisa is a member of the CT Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the UMass Hall of Fame. Post college, Lisa was a member of the 1987-1992 US Lacrosse squad. In 1987 she was named to the US U23 Lacrosse team, and in 1989 she was named to the US Lacrosse World Cup Team. Currently, Lisa teaches at the Darien Middle School and is the head coach for the Darien High School Varsity Womens Lacrosse team, where she has won 17 FCIAC league championships and 16 Connecticut state championships. The Darien team has been ranked nationally in each of the last 10 years and has been ranked number 1 in the state of Connecticut for the past 10 years. Lisa is proud to have coached 60 All American and 145 All State players. She was named CT Lacrosse Coach of the Year from 2013-2017. Lisa is married to Peter Lindley. They have two boys, Peter and Kevin. Lisa is co-founder and co-owner of the CT Grizzlies, a lacrosse club in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
