Ron Krogh graduated from Simsbury High School in 1965. He played a remarkable four sports at the varsity level: football, baseball, basketball, and soccer, earning a total of 11 varsity letters. After high school, Ron went on to play football and baseball at Illinois Wesleyan, earning multiple All Conference awards in both sports. He was named captain of the baseball team his senior year and he was awarded the "Honor of Titans," an honor bestowed upon the top senior athlete at the school. Ron went on to play baseball for the town of Orleans, Massachusetts, in the highly regarded Cape Cod Baseball League in 1967. Ron has been a lifelong Simsbury resident until his retirement to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, in 2010. He worked for 30 years for the Hartford Insurance Group and still has many family members living in Simsbury. Ron's two daughters graduated from Simsbury High School and went on to earn degrees from the University of Connecticut in Storrs.
